#tbt the day i thought it was all over- signing the wall at the gym officially retiring from my sport when I graduated high school leaving my gymnastics days behind. I had already been out for a year (after battling too many injuries and surgeries in my 4 seasons competing as a level 10) but hung around with my teammates the last season while i cheered all-stars competitively. I was SO excited to be "normal"- not spend my life in the gym 30 hours a week... i'm pretty sure that was my only thought while signing the wall. Heading to UGA to just be a regular student thinking... "I'm free." & now look at me, more dedicated of an athlete than I ever have been, & damn proud of it. F*ck normal.
