#LondonReviewed | Art buffs should make their way down to Mead Carney fine art gallery 45 Dover Street to check out a collection by @Kirtland_Ash. Having spent over ten years painting in Los Angeles, Kirtland debuts in #London #Mayfair with "LIDL Women", a new series of paintings and collages featuring characters which are a medley of body parts; meticulously painted constructs of limbs and body parts that have been selected from various sources-books, newspapers and glossy magazines. A 'connect' between surgery and beautification whilst also questioning society's perceived notion of beauty, identity and femininity continually thrust upon us by the media. // Kirtland has works in a number of notable private collections including Keanu Reeves and Sam Nazarian. // The collection runs until Saturday 7th March and you can meet the artist himself between 12.00-5.00pm this coming Saturday.
