Congratulations to @makuarothman for winning the inaugural #BWWT and becoming our first big wave #WorldChampion on the @世界プロサーフィン連盟（WSL）! Pretty rad considering he wasn't actually on the invite list and instead got wild cards into both the events that ran, winning one (in Peru a couple days after his baby was born) and getting a close second in the other one in Spain. Safe to say he'll have a spot secured next year and be #TheGuyToBeat! How's this @zaknoyle shot from a monster at #Jaws a year and a half ago?! Makua also had the biggest wave of the year from a Jaws tow day back in 2002 when he was only 18 years old. #BraddahCharges. Nice one. Stoked for you!
