Taking great pics of your car is no easy feat, so we’re teaming up with a few awesome Instagrammers who know how to get it done. First up is Tim Landis (@curious2119) who traveled out to northwest Oklahoma in a #Ford #Escape. Follow his tips below and post a pic of your car in the #outdoors, using the hashtag #FORDoutdoors, and Tim will help us pick the best ones to showcase next week. Good luck!

Hey! This is Tim Landis! I’m here to share some helpful tips for taking great photos of your car in the outdoors.

Telling stories about your adventures and the places you go can make for some great photos.
1. Try to incorporate the people you are adventuring with into your photos. Look for ways that you can capture how you, the people you’re with, your car and the landscape all interact with one another.

2. Compose your photos by using the elements around you, such as a tree to frame your vehicle. Experiment with viewpoints by taking photos from both high and low angles.

3. Make use of landscapes and scenic backdrops for photos, positioning your Ford to showcase it, the scale of the location and the context of your adventures.

4. Last but not least, everyone loves a good road. Roads can provide horizontal lines, vertical lines and vanishing points that can create a more dramatic effect, drawing the eye to the subject in your photo.
