The Merivuokko (sea anemone) pattern was inspired by designer Kustaa Saksi’s scuba diving trip in Vietnam. The rhythm, colours and atmosphere of the sea floor fascinated him, so he drew a pattern that depicts the depth and abstract, clear forms of the sea and details of its flora and fauna. #marimekko #ss15 #marimekkohome
