"Last night, among a sea of #MarilynManson fans decked out in dyed black hair, leather pant and platform boot, I found myself fascinated by the stage presence of 'The Pale Emperor.' I grew up hearing his songs in passing and catching news stories about how shocking he was as a performer, but never took the time to listen to his music. He moved all around the stage, acknowledging fans from the first row to the farthest mezzanine. I started enjoying the show as I was documenting his performance. At one moment, I noticed him getting closer and closer to my camera, and all of a sudden felt a tugging on it. I then realized that Manson had grabbed onto my lens and we began to play tug-o-war with my camera. He eventually let go and I continued shooting photos, unsure if I caught any of our brief interaction. It wasn’t until later that night while I was home reviewing the photos that I realized I had fired off one frame of Manson holding onto my lens as he performed."
