I would like to congratulate and thank the New York Baseball Writers’ Association of America for all the efforts behind last Saturday’s dinner and awards ceremony. Though the flu sidelined me, my family and members of the #Angels organization enjoyed a tremendous evening. It is truly an amazing and memorable honor being recognized with such an accomplished group of athletes and contributors to the great game of baseball. The hard work of the New York BBWAA for such an opportunity is appreciated and respected by award winners, past and present. I also thank members of the BBWAA across the country for the role they play not only in voting for awards, but the daily coverage provided to the organizations and players fortunate to be part of this great fraternity.
