I was trying to photograph a mating pair of polar bears in near white-out conditions in the high Arctic when this female snuck up behind me. I had to leave my lens and tripod and casually got on my snowmobile and moved out of her way. She calmly sniffed my camera gear before continuing her journey across the sea ice.
