“#IggyPop is a major hero in my book. I don't understand why he isn't played on classic-rock radio alongside the Stones and Zeppelin. He's one of the greatest performers in the world to this day: There are bands one third his age that aren't half as good as he is onstage. I shot this photo back in the day when I was starting my career as a photographer. It was on my first camera, a Nikon D60, and I was exploring on it. What came out was real pop-art experimental stuff and this is one of my favorite shots I’ve ever taken. Now with all my professional gear I miss those days when I just started and wasn’t afraid to just explore the wonders of photography.” As told to RS by photographer @DanaDistortion
