At 6ft 4, Gabriel Dhiel may well be a record-holding primary school student. He’s actually 20, having started primary school late because of conflict in what was then Southern Sudan. “I want to be a geologist,” he says. “We have oil in #SouthSudan and we need geologists. It’s not only to earn money, but it will be good for the welfare of my community.” Sadly, fighting has disrupted Gabriel’s #education again. He was supposed to have taken his exams to finish primary school at the end of 2013, but the conflict that broke out in December that year meant the exams could not be held. He is waiting anxiously to know whether they will be held, as promised, this month. #UNICEF #EverydayVoices
