Photo by @TomasVH. Information is tightly controlled inside North Korea. The TV in my hotel room only had three channels: one playing only patriotic songs, another mostly showing their leader visiting factories, and the last one showing glorified Korean War documentaries. The man in this photo is only person I saw watching a foreign film--in this case a Russian movie made in Soviet times. Hollywood films are forbidden inside the country.
Sony Pictures announced this week they were pulling "The Interview," a comedy which takes place in #NorthKorea after unknown hackers breached Sony's systems and issued threats to movie theaters. Is this an unprecedented move to control external information about North Korea as tightly as it is inside the country? @VIIPhoto @thephotosociety
