Photo by @pedromcbride // The Confluence: A sacred spot where the milky waters of the Little Colorado mix with the emerald flow of the main Colorado inside the Grand Canyon. While many believe this sacred place should remain unmarred, there is a proposal to build a 1.4-mile long tramway to carry 4000 people daily down 3,200 vertical to the #confluence’s shores. Economic growth is a driver but many fear this tramway will change this outdoor #cathedral forever. Tomorrow, my colleague @amytoensing and I will be teaching a workshop at the @ナショナルジオグラフィック headquarters in DC about what inspires us and the power of photography while featuring images like these.
