Ghana’s Visionary leader Kwame Nkrumah on the cover of Africa Report in 1966. Kwame Nkrumah, was the leader of Ghana and its predecessor state, the Gold Coast, from 1951 to 1966 leading Ghana to independence from British colonisation in 1957. He would go on to establish the African Union and encouraged fellow African nations to follow in Ghana’s foot steps and demand independence from their colonial rulers.
