#Pradasphere comes to Hong Kong. A special exhibition exploring the universe of Prada, will be unveiled on November 18 in Hong Kong, situated on the top of Central Ferry Pier 4, Central, with dramatic views across the harbour to Kowloon. The exhibition traces Prada’s multivalent references, obsessions, and methodologies. Housed in custom-built structure covering the entire roof of the pier, Pradasphere includes over sixty complete looks drawn from three decades of collections; scores of exquisite shoes, bags and material samples; rarely-exhibited artefacts from the company archive; a timeline of collections, campaigns, and special projects containing over 500 images and videos; films created in collaboration with directors such as Roman Polanski, Wes Anderson, Ridley Scott, and Yang Fudong; architectural projects from Rem Koolhaas/oma and Herzog & de Meuron; a library of publications; and a special VIP lounge overlooking the harbour. Pradasphere is designed as both an aesthetic journey and an investigation of the fashion system. But it is also an unabashed celebration of exquisite materiality and craftsmanship, a paean to the rare and the finely wrought, and a wholehearted endorsement of the stylistic iconoclast.
