DINOSAUR - This Spinosaurus, recently re-discovered in Morocco after the previous one was blown up in WW II, is the biggest carnivore to ever walk the earth. It was a unique swimming dinosaur from 100 million years ago, and at 50 feet in length, much longer than a T. Rex. I photographed it for last month's National Geographic magazine story and this shot was made at Research Casting International east of Toronto, Canada. Each individual bone is cast or 3-D printed and then welded to the skeleton using steel rods. It is one of the first all-digital dinosaurs ever produced and is on display at the Nat Geo museum in Washington, DC for the next several months. The NOVA/ Nat Geo special, Bigger than T.
