by the light of a Full Moon, Harbor Island, ACE Basin

This annual ritual takes place around evening high tides and full and new moons usually in May.
The ACE Basin is a fragile ecosystem nestled and surrounded by development and just 30 miles from Charleston, South Carolina.
It remains one the largest undeveloped estuaries, formed by the confluence of the rivers Ashepoo, Combahee and Edisto and preserved by the confluence of a community.
