photos by @argonautphoto (Aaron Huey). Bins full of food and other supplies that were carried on the backs of #Porters from the low lands of Nepal to the highest villages in the #Himalayas. While on assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック magazine in the #Khumbu last year I became very interested in what gets carried up into the mountains and photographed every bin in the market of #NamcheBazar. Everything from batteries and soap to eggs and beer get carried all the way to #EverestBaseCamp. Some gear then transfers from porters to #Sherpas to make the treacherous trip up through the Khumbu Ice Fall to camps all the way up the mountain. Some porters carry upwards of 150-200lbs.
