Neil writes in one of his posts: Lake Turkana is a magnet in the desert, drawing all life to it, and the shore is littered with bones. Last meals, last visits, layers of stories, the allure of water. Near this spot, at places like Koobi Fora, anthropologists have found the bones of ancient humans, and our ancestors: homo habilis, homo erectus, homo rudolfensis and helmei, Turkana boy.
