With no food Mike sat out the typhoon but anxiously set at 4am the next morning. He walked hard towards temple 13, dainichiji only to find the man made bridge he planned to take over the river flooded and partially destroyed by typhoon Vongfong. Mike was determined not to veer of course so he made a risky decision. He was going to try to make it across the flooded river despite the the damaged bridge. I told Mike many angels will come to his aide and this where Mike met up with one of them. Mike shimmied across the flooded bridge only to find out that the bridge was totally out just as he was about to reach the other side. Mike wasn't sure if could safely shimmy back where he came from so he made a crucial dangerous decision. To gamble and make a leap/swim to the other side. With debris coming down the flooded river Mike had to move fast so he began throwing his Tsue (walking stick) and his bag preparing to make the potentially journey ending leap. Then although it was early morning and no one was around when he began attempting to cross the flooded bridge just before he was about to make the leap a old lady appeared on the other side signaling for him to wait. She then began dragging out a big piece of ply wood that Mike was able to use to safely get to the other side. After getting to the other side Mike looked back and realized the what was going to try to do would have been a very careless one and very much life threatening. Mike then safely continued on the finish temples 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 before finding a taxi company, Sakae Taxi, that houses pilgrims free of charge. Mike was also fortunate that Yamatodamashii Ichizoku's Yoshikazu Devantier who was working in Kyoto sacrifice a nights sleep and drove hours down to Shikoku to find Mike. He found Mike near temple 17 took him to dinner, bought him some food for tomorrow and left him with a monetary offering to help assist him on the long journey still ahead of him. Mike is currently resting up in the comfortable rooms and soft futons at Sakae
