Not just the face of Pink Floyd's infamous album Animals, Battersea Power Station captured here by @portugueezer is a global icon for #London, and shortly it's iconic and decayed chimneys will be pulled down and reconstructed carefully as part of the £multi-million redevelopment of the power station into luxury apartments and villas, with a roof garden crowning the complex. News just in suggests that two of the new chimneys are still going to be used as flues for the massive, modern energy center that is being constructed to power the complex. The third of the four chimneys will remain hollow with a glass roof, and the fourth will house a cylindrical glass elevator that will pop out at the top as a new viewing platform, which at over 300ft will deliver some pretty amazing views.
