The infamous Downieville Classic river jump contest went off again this last weekend in the iconic town of Downieville, CA. For the second year in a year Shimano sponsored a fun casting contest from a little man made island next to the river jump that saw 16 participants battle it out for the top prize package that included a brand new Shimano rod and reel plus other goodies. All competitors received a sweet Shimano hat for participating. We look forward to doing it again next year so start practicing your casting skills!
