Lately I've fallen back in love with taking portraits. For a long time I just shot mostly Still-lifes. Still-lifes are basically setups that are made of inanimate objects. So subjects who don't talk or move and are always available. Which I loved! ha!
Portraits bring me back to my roots where I started off as a photographer. Being a self taught photographer in a small town, all I had for models were my family and mostly my grandpa. Taking their portraits on a daily helped me grow. When I moved to Chicago I kinda started to experiment more with objects being so new to a city and not really knowing anyone. Now for me its more of shooting whatever makes me curious and happy.
This is a portrait of my lovely friend Amanda. The light on the farm was just right this day. I called her name she looked my way and I clicked the shutter. Also thanks for liking portraits I post. I know you usually don't have a connection with the subject so its nice to see you enjoy my work : )
