Some stories are simply too big for Magnum to tell alone. #WorldCup2014 in Brazil was a big story. So, Magnum photographers Jonas Bendiksen, Alex Majoli, Susan Meiselas and David Alan Harvey teamed up with four local Brazilian photographers and two journalistic cooperatives to create project OFFSIDE BRAZIL. While most eyes and cameras were facing the fields (or the TV), OFFSIDE BRAZIL was oriented toward the streets, capturing elements of culture that highlight who and what Brazil is at this extraordinary juncture in its history. For the next week, we'll devote the @Magnum Photos Instagram feed to presenting some of this body of work. Special thanks to @IMoreiraSalles for making OFFSIDE BRAZIL a reality.
