It may seem strange, but in the Pantanal wetlands of Brazil the hyacinth macaws have learned to take advantage of the presence of livestock in their habitat, establishing with cows an unexpected ecological partnership. The nellore (white cattle of Asian origin common in Brazil), ended up taking the same palm tree fruits enjoyed by macaws. The cows catch the fruits in the short palm trees, eat their green tick cover and regurgitate to the ground the harsh and nutritious Brown seeds rightly revered by macaws. For the birds it is a easyer way to get the seeds ready to eat.
