Penguin, gordo, wobble -- all names given to the late Great Auk. Once native to North America, this bird has since gone extinct but is being commemorated through the Lost Bird Project, an outdoor exhibit created by artist Todd McGrain and housed outside the Smithsonian Castle in @smithsoniangardens. We're glad we (and all of our visitors) can remember these historical birds through McGrain's sculptures! @AmericanArtMuseum @RestlessCollective #SculptureChallenge
