Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPsolstice

Saturday marks the June solstice, the longest day of the year and first day of summer in the northern hemisphere. In the south, it stands as the shortest day and welcomes winter. In honor of the solstice, the goal this weekend is to capture the essence of the changing seasons in your region through creative photos and videos. Some tips to get you started:
Take a moment to think about the nature around you and how it's changing. Whether it's flowers in full-bloom or barren branches, look for the rhythms of the natural world. Let the dramatic solstice light guide your creativity. Experiment with direct sun, long shadows and the brilliant harsh light that summer brings. For those starting winter, consider warming fires, twinkling city lights and the mystery darkness can add to your photos. Finally, if you live in a region that sees little variation in nature throughout the year, seek inspiration in the seasonal recipes, fashion and events where you live.
