Paralympic silver medalist Katie Holloway was born missing a fibula and took an unusual path to U.S. Sitting Volleyball Team, playing basketball at Cal State Northridge and learned to “understand what it takes to be at the highest level, and a lot of that is understanding how much you need to do while no one is watching." She is accustomed to assisting people overcome challenges. "I usually like to listen and figure out what is the problem, then show them they already have the tools to overcome it...which is usually will power." She encourages people to play sitting volleyball just once, and see what happens. "If you are a volleyball junkie, you will absolutely love sitting volleyball because it is just a small version of the sport you love and it is another challenge in front of you. Anybody can play and nobody is at an advantage." #humansofvb
