Hey guys, @richburnsred_art here. In the light of the incredible pencil carving post the other day, I would like to share with you this piece. It was designed as part of an advertising campaign for the game pictionary....which if you haven't played before....why not? ?
Before you get too excited however I must confess that this is mixed media, it is not quite as intricate as my previous post. It is a carving (the ship/astronaut) and the pencil around it is digitally drawn. The result is fantastic though and I seriously hope one of these talented pencil sculptors try to do something like this one day. It would be a challenge....but definitely worth it.
Because this is for an ad campaign there are a whole host of people tied to it's creation, however as far as I could see, the main man behind it's conception appears to be a Jota Julián Gutiérrez. What are your thoughts? Would you like to see someone attempt this for real? I think someone could do it! ?
