I have learned to speak #Wakhi language over the years, allowing me to chat with these Wakhi women. It is hard work, they say, and I struggle to keep up their pace. But nonetheless, they tell me they look forward to this daily outing, away from the village life, a time for gossip and often laughter, under the mighty #Karakoram mountains. People living in the Hunza region are known for their exceptionally long life expectancy.
