Photo by @peteressick. My photography book, The Ansel Adams Wilderness, has just been released by National Geographic Books. The book is a collection of photographs from an amazing wilderness area in the Sierra Nevada Mountains next to Yosemite National Park. This High Sierra region was where Ansel Adams first developed his love of nature and mastered the art and craft of landscape photography. My photographs are reproduced in tritone and I think they look wonderful. There is also a lot of information included about the region and Ansel Adams and a photographer's notes section in the rear with technical information. For me this book started with an idea four years ago, and required me to step out of my comfort zone many times along the way to see the project to completion. So it is awesome to to hold the book in my hands and realize that dreams do sometimes come true. Thanks also to The Wilderness Society for their support of the book.
