Photo by @argonautphoto (Aaron Huey) This is Sequoia. Last night we ate rattlesnakes. The man who killed them found them in his camp. He wears old-timey cowboy clothes and a buck knife on his hip. His respect for the snakes he killed was admirable - he did not want them to suffer and was angry when people started to play with the bodies. They were fried in a skillet and tasted both like chicken and fish. This is life in #SlabCity. I've been out here all week hosting @newyorkerphoto
