Photo by @argonautphoto (Aaron Huey). This is a burning car I narrowly escaped. From my second of 20+ assignments for @ナショナルジオグラフィック magazines. This happened while working for @National Geographic Travel in Quintana Roo (Mexico) when a truck appeared at a dead stop in the middle of the highway with no lights on. I ended up swerving off the road and broke apart the whole underside of the car. I escaped with everything but my passport and sunglasses. I watched it burn for two hours. The metal turned red hot after 30 minutes and I couldn't help but imagine myself inside. #Adventure!!!
