The WINNER of our March 2014 Fan Photo Contest on Instagram is Julio Cesar Hoffmann @julio910 with this image of a perched owl. Our judge this month was Melissa Farlow (@melissafarlow). Here is what she had to say about the winning image:
The owl perched in the top of bare tree branches is subtle but the strength of the image grew on me. It is stark and yet rather startling although a tranquil mood. There is a freshness about the way the photographer captured this quiet and majestic moment in the natural world.
