The drive down here to S. Utah was cool until I ran outta gas and spent $100 for a tow truck to fill me up with 2 gallons. My van wouldn't start on the side of the road and my only option was to be towed to the nearest exit for another $100. I had no choice. He pulled up behind me and miraculously my van started. "I LOVE MY VAN!", I yelled at the tow guy as I blasted off down the highway. I made it to mesquite, NV (rt near Cathedral) n stopped for food n water. My van would not start. People helped me trouble shoot and nothing was open. I spent two days sleeping in a gas station parking lot outside of a casino. Real cool. Monday came around and I was towed to a shop where they replaced my fuel pump. We all take a hit sometimes right? After I got my van back I went looking for cliffs and then to the bivy. Today, I woke up to a flat tire. I figure it would be a quick fix until I was informed about 8 other ailments to tend to. I needed new tires, breaks, oil, lights, filters, plugs, fuses, and fluids. When it rains it pour right? Necessary fixes but dang I was not planning on two rest days and spending thousands of dollars! But... The stoke is built up high for tomorrow now and I'm gonna tear my route UP whether it's warm, cold, windy, or snowing. I'm so anxious I feel like that Tazmanian devil from cartoons.
