This past Christmas, my sister @devon_lemon asked me to make her a mix of some of the music that I loved when I was her age. I started to put together a mix on my computer, but immediately I realized that there was something so stale and unromantic about getting a bunch of music on a thumb drive. Instead I decided that if my sister was getting a gift like this from me, it's coming in the form of a story she won't ever forget. This afternoon we set out to the Mecca of record stores #amoeba a place she had never even heard of. Where I have her the gift of music in its most beautiful form. My only regret is not getting the Fugees album instead of the Lauryn Hill, but based on what she's listening to now, she'll love that Hill album. These are a small assortment of albums that significantly changed my life at any given time. Trying to spend $200 at Amoeba in less than an hour is actually a very difficult task. They must have half a million records in there. Love you Devon, enjoy!
