The Berrics Presents New York City - A Skateboarder’s Guide isn’t just about where the best street spots and skateparks are at. It’s about the full NYC experience! The spots and parks are definitely in there but it’s also about the historic brands of the city, the people and characters, the skateshops, the music, and all the little spots in between that make the city itself and skateboarding there so unique! This is why today’s features on theberrics.com are so diverse, to give you the fullest NYC experience possible! We hit up Flushing Meadows, one of the most recognizable and iconic NY spots. It also has a Maloof park right next to it which doesn’t hurt! The @MountainDew team shred FM and the park while @Prod84 and Billy Rohan (@williamrohan) drop some history lessons. @ZooYorkOfficial is now in their 20th year, growing up from humble roots to become a major global brand brining raw NYC street skating to the skating masses! Lenny Hoops is a 52 year-old street performing clown. He works because of his love for it, not for the money. He is also quite possibly the most interesting man in the world. @KCDC_Skateshop has been promoting up-and-coming artist, skaters, and brands since 2001! A true staple of the NYC skate scene and community. New York is a massive melting pot of people and cultures. This diversity is reflected perfectly at @FranksChopShop, nothing can bring people together quite like a smart cut, clean shave or tight fade! @KanineRecords is more down for skating than any other record label out there. They contractually obligated all the bands that sign with them to give their music to skate videos free of charge! @sNiceCafe is the go-to spot for part-time work for skaters. The owner Mike Walter is a life long skater and is super supportive of skater employees. It’s also the spot to grab some of the best vegetarian food in the city! @TJGaskill - Kickflip Photo - @yoonicorn213
