Happy Birthday? to my beautiful living Miracle. Seven years ago today, I almost lost this little guy at birth; he didn't breath for 9 mins. Nonetheless, we were told he would be a vegetable..possibly blind, deaf, wheelchair bound, not be able to talk etc.

I believe in Faith, God and I trusted in him to guide me in the direction I needed to in order to heal our angel?. After countless appointments, traveling around the world (months at a time) for extensive physical, occupational, & speech therapy...Christian now walks as of October 2012, grades 3 years above on cognitive & is now running around unassisted!
Dear Christian, thank you for holding my hand when I was at my weakest, and for never giving up no matter what. You showed me what it's like to look at the bigger picture & to never be confined by opinions and restrictions. When I was told about your diagnosis, I was thrown into a system that is limited by ideas and beliefs. You have proven that a label makes no difference. Your patience through the countless appointment and meetings that yielded only endless frustration never stopped your perseverance with your journey towards freedom and independence. Thank you for opening my world?, and for giving the opportunity to meet some of the most talented and gifted people, along with showing me the limitations placed on you, often had nothing to do with you-- Mom?

And God Bless my bother? who left us 3 years ago today. He's now our guardian angel. I love you Omar....till we meet again❤️
