@marcusbleasdale Very few health facilities are functional in #DRC. Most people suffer from a severe lack of access to health care while the escalation of violence increase their needs. The health center in Pluto is badly supplied as it is deep in a territory where very few, if any NGOs can get clearance to go. As a result all the civil society systems are desperately decaying as the military and locals extract #conflictminerals (Gold) from the nearby mines. In exchange for gold, arms and munitions are provided to rebels, making the area more volatile and difficult for NGOs to work in, leaving the population more vulnerable.
