The end of the #ColoradoRiver — 100 miles shy of the Sea of Cortez. A Cucupah Indian gazes across the now dry delta - the spot where he once learned to fish. The Colorado flowed to the sea for 6 million years and created one of the largest desert estuaries in North America. Not a drop of its water has kissed the sea since the late 90s. Today #AmericanRivers announced the Colorado as the most #endangered river in the U.S. That is bad and good news. Bad because the ongoing demands for its water are real and so are shrinking flows due to drought and climate change. Good because the listing raises awareness on the issue.
