Some would argue that traveling in #Alaska in #winter is easier than in #summer. Why? Because in winter the #rivers freeze over and turn into wonderful, open corridors like #highways from one place to the next. When conditions are good they offer smoother #travel (in some ways) than #hiking through the brush or crossing flowing rivers in summer.
