Jr. High students and a chaperone from The Paideia School in Atlanta dig a Hugelkultur Bed last Tuesday in their urban agriculture garden. They dug a two foot hole and buried leaves, logs, twigs, and compost in order to increase the fertility of the soil. They plan to plant fingerling potatoes in the Spring for the school and a local food pantry for the homeless. Photo by @peteressick.
