For their project at @designmiami, BLESS acknowledges Fendi’s history as a Couture Maison and the expertise of their Ateliers, with an intricately illustrated intarsia technique blanket, created using shearling, printed calf leather, lamb leather and Merino wool to picture a quotidian ‘backstage’ scene at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana.

Those working on Fendi’s booth during Design Miami/ can take advantage of a utility room, a small cabin created by BLESS to store both staff belongings and a range of cleaning objects. These objects have been refreshed with recycled leather custom covers, including detergent bottles clad in leather offcuts that have been ‘upcycled’ using stock available from previous collections, which after some years would otherwise be discarded.

The Protective Sister Bag and Protective Brother Carton Bag, together form BLESS’ take on Fendi’s iconic Peekaboo and its requisite dust bag, with the option to be transformed into two independently usable bags, or ‘go out’ in their combined ‘family’ format.

Currently on view until December 10.
