Brent was the publisher for Swimming World Magazine that has been so kind to me all these years. In June of 2023, hospice came to his house and he was making arrangements for palliative care. And today, through the miracle of modern medicine, he is with us in the state of “Very Good Partial Remission.” For those who are fortunate enough to not speak cancer, this means he was really sick and he was put on a trial drug that worked! This December marks the 5th anniversary of my own cancer diagnosis and I am thankful every day for those that dedicate their lives to researching life saving treatments for these deadly diseases.
