What if Mao was Black and Beuys was Yellow. This simple notion came to my mind when I was glancing thru flipping pages of Warhol’s monograph. ( I also found Green Beuys 🤢)
Appropriation has not only served as a method of creativity but also allowed to patch work and find my own indentity thru art making. God bless this country. it made me proud of who I am and what we are to become in this globalization era.

毛沢東が黒人でヨーゼフ•ボイスが黄色人種だったら、どんな世相になっていたんだろう。アメリカが生んだ巨匠ウォーホルの作品群を眺めている中でふとそんな思いが浮かんだ。作者が意図しないこともその時々の伝わり方があり、ウォーホルが当時みたであろう景色と自分の感じた思いには接点はないだろうが、作家が作品つくる動機とはそんなもんだ。気がつけばもう、半生過ごしたアメリカ。ここでみる気色／景色に影響を感じることが近年増えた。
