I’ve seen a lot of mountains in various parts of the world... but the Sierra were & still are my home.. the range I grew up near, drawing inspiration from those who captured them before me like Ansel Adams armed with a finicky large format camera. These images are from a flight last April when I jumped in the passenger’s seat of @gilshoham plane during an assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック to document the significant water accumulation after heavy rains from the previous winter... needless to say there I had never see Lake Mono so colorful and spilling to the brim. Much needed after years of draught in California
