In honor of #VeteransDay we’re highlighting artist, veteran, and West Chester native Horace Pippin. Injured during World War I, Pippin turned to painting to help mend his body and spirit. Pippin served in the 369th Infantry Regiment, a division of African American soldiers. Stationed on the front line, his battalion was one of four African American regiments to see combat.
Veterans Day is Free Admission for all Active-duty and retired military personnel and their families at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Rodin Museum.
