As part of his nomadic journey, Belgian designer Jean-Paul Lespagnard is making a stop in Mexico City to present an exclusive installation/pop-up at @sophiesimonedesigns gallery. For ten days, you're invited to discover a unique selection of fashion, accessories, and decor items. Lespagnard's recent travels have taken him to Hydra, Greece, and Istanbul, Turkey, and he even transformed the interior of a suite at @thehotel.brussels to showcase his latest creations. Now, he's unpacking his trunks in Mexico City and introduce a collection of scarves, fashion, accessories, and decor items that reflect his international influences and a deep appreciation for Mexican culture. Every corner of the space will be adorned with everyday materials reminiscent of street vendors, including the iconic "Colima" orange boxes and elements that pay homage to his Belgian roots. The ceiling itself is a masterpiece, a tapestry of interconnected scarves with prints inspired by his experiences in Mexico. The lighting will create a colorful, diffuse glow, reminiscent of stained glass. Projection plays an informative role, bringing Lespagnard's travels, work, and research to life through a unique blend of visuals, creating a dynamic canvas that engages the audience in a multidimensional experience. This presentation will also introduce a new fashion collaboration with Mexico City native designer Txá Barrera.
