ルッツさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ルッツInstagram)「I designed what would become my very first collection while travelling back and forth between Italy and Paris. I had a freelance job near Bologna, and would always take the night train as my funds didn’t allow for flights . Every penny I earned I put into this collection and into the little studio space behind the Gare du Nord that we rented with David and where these photos were taken. I had no idea at the time where this might lead us, and certainly no idea if anything would happen once this collection was finished… the only sure thing was my unwavering belief that I simply had to get it done, get it out there, and if this was going to be the first and last at least I would have plucked up the courage to try. I can honestly say that all the courage and belief in myself came through my years at @bafcsm - they „taught me to dream“ as well as teaching me how to be a Designer. There’s an article in the @guardian by @lauren_cochrane_ today saying how impossible the situation has become for students without huge financial means, and it made me very sad.. what else is fashion- or art- or any education but a means to enable people to dream, make them believe that they can do things, move things, change things ? I will be forever grateful for the education I received at Central St Martins, I would be a very different person and I certainly would not do what I’m doing today.
