At its core lies the primal sense of awe inherent in every human, a universal sacred sensation transcending specific religions, which we redefine here as the "Sense of Sacredness." Temples and shrines serve as the physical embodiment of this "Sense of Sacredness," and it's for this reason that we believe in the necessity of their protection. While Miwa Komatsu performs live painting as part of her artistic expression, it's not mere performance. It's a solemn ceremony leading to a realization of the "Sense of Sacredness." Globally, historical cultural assets face extinction due to factors like wars, poverty, and economic stagnation. We view these assets as humanity's historical inheritance, anchoring our souls, and aim to protect them. The goal is to shift values from the traditional concept of "receiving goods or services in exchange for payment" to "voluntarily contributing one's assets for public good, subsequently receiving admiration and honor from the community." This transformation is to be implemented using technologies like blockchain, encouraging broader participation. Specifically, donors will receive physical and digital ownership of artworks, certificates of appreciation from the cultural entities, among other forms of acknowledgment. A part of the proceeds from secondary market sales of digital artworks will continue to contribute to the cultural assets, fostering a sustainable cycle for their protection. For this initiative, we received empathy from To-ji Temple, initiating our pilot project.
