"Baldie, you a baddie, and I need you to know it. Once you know it, then you need to show it," says motivational speaker @paulafontana3 over the loudspeaker during this year's Baldie Con— an event started by Felicia Flores to provide support for women who've experienced hair loss. Women traveled from across the United States, Canada, and even Barbados to convene for the second annual event in Atlanta, Georgia. They've come for much-needed community and to occupy a space where they're not subject to looks from strangers, where, for once, they're not the only one.
